During Pride Month in June be sure to check out one of these awesome Kids Graphic Novels that celebrate LGBTQ pride.  These graphic novels are filled with strong characters, heroes, princesses, and everything in between!

Locked in a tower with her sisters and tired of waiting to be rescued by a prince, Princess Adrienne, her sidekick Bedelia, and her guardian dragon Sparky begin a quest to save themselves.

To celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride in the month of June, we wanted to highlight some graphic novels in our YA and Adult collections. Hero Hangout: Comics Reading Group

Love reading or creating comics? Come join us for Hero Hangout, every third Wednesday of the month. Hero Hangout is a Comic Book Club for ages 7-12 where you choose what to read! Each session starts with reading comics and in the second half you make your own comic. Participants are encouraged to bring a comic to share with the group but are not required. 

This program is offered the third Wednesday of the month, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, no registration required.

The Rainbow Book List is created by a committee of the same name as part of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Round Table of the American Library Association. Each year, the committee reads and selects quality books "with significant and authentic GLBTQ content, which are recommended for people from birth through eighteen years of age."
