Due to the library reopening in stages, PC usage is limited. Patrons may schedule up to two 90 minute sessions per day using the links below. Patrons must agree to abide by all library policies including its computing resources policies and COVID-19 safety specific policies, which includes wearing a facemask for your entire appointment.
Due to social distancing restrictions, PC users are highly discouraged from bringing guests.
If you intend to print and do not have a copy card, please bring $1 bills to purchase a copy card and/or add value.
If you'll need to save any files, please bring a portable USB thumb drive to store them on.
Restricted to patrons identified as being part of a vulnerable population such as: senior citizens and those with medical conditions. An appointment to utilize a general purpose PC with a filtered Internet connection for a 90 minute session.
Free Wi-Fi, internet jacks, electrical outlets, and USB charging outlets are available throughout the building. Internet connections provided by the library are unsecured and unencrypted; use at your own risk.
Connection of your device to the cpl Wi-Fi network implies your acceptance of the Acceptable Use provisions of our Computing Resources Policy.
If you need to print while using your laptop or mobile device, you should use our wireless printing service. You can print to our high-quality printers, and your print job will stay in the queue until the close of business the day it is sent.
CPL has nearly 110 computers for public use. We also offer computer classes throughout the year. Public computers are filtered per Michigan State law. Please note:
The Lab is restricted to 18-years-and-older by law because it provides unfiltered web access on 10 machines
Public computers will only store your working files until the end of the day. Be sure to save your files to a USB flash drive or web storage
For your protection, the ability to install new programs on public computers has been disabled
